Hossein Amirsadeghi

Writer, editor, publisher, filmmaker, politician and entrepreneur, Hossein Amirsadeghi's career spans 36 years across several continents in pursuit of the cultural ideal. Educated at London University and the London School of Economics, Amirsadeghi has been a cultural activist working for change in the developing world. From the time of his founding the Third World Research Council (since defunct) in the early-1980s, he has produced such varied works as The Future of the Troubled World, Strategic Thought in the Nuclear Age, Security in the Persian Gulf, Arts of Persia, Peerless Images and many other books on topics from history to photography and art. An expert in strategic communications, Amirsadeghi's quest for creative endeavour culminated in the creation of theBite magazine two years ago, a publication dedicated to creativity and the Middle East.

This experience encouraged him to set up Creativity Beyond Borders, seeking out like-minded regional and international thinkers, leaders and innovators with the vision and aspiration to seek creative change in the region of his birth. Creativity Beyond Borders will become a non-profit foundation dedicated to creative resurgence in the greater Middle East through the empowerment of young Muslims across regions, Diasporas and cultural divides. Amirsadeghi is firm in the belief that creativity is a prime precursor for the establishment of civil society in the Muslim and Arab world.
