Patrick le Quément

Patrick le Quément graduated from Birmingham Institute of Art & Design in 1966 with a BA in Product Design Engineering and began his career with Simca before moving on to a 17-year tenure with Ford.

Then, he set up the Centre for Advanced Design and Strategy at VW-Audi and in 1987 took charge of Renault's style department.

Among his numerous accolades, he holds the French Grand Prix National for Industrial Design (1992) and in 2002 was voted European Car Designer of the Year. He is Chairman of Renault and Nissan’s Joint Design Policy Group.

In the same year, the Raymond Loewy Foundation named him «Lucky Strike Designer Award» in recognition for his lifetime contribution to Design.

Car and Driver awarded him in Madrid in 2004 “Personality of the Decade”.

Patrick le Quément is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of ENSCI, France’s most important school of Industrial Design.
